The questions operators actually ask
What does Tessera actually file on my behalf?
New applications, renewals and amendments for every license type we cover. We assemble the packet, pay the jurisdiction fee, submit it, and log the receipt and new expiry date against that location.
How do you know what my locations need?
We resolve each address to its state, county and city issuing bodies, then apply the requirement set for your business type. Every requirement carries a last-verified date so you can see how current it is.
What if a jurisdiction is not covered?
We will tell you on the call rather than after you sign. New jurisdictions are typically live within two weeks of a request.
Can I still file things myself?
Yes. Plenty of customers keep liquor in-house and hand us everything else. The register tracks both the same way.
Do you handle federal licensing?
No. ATF, FDA and other federal registrations sit outside what we file. We will track the expiry date if you want it in the register, but we will not submit it.
Is there a per-filing charge?
No. Filing is included at every plan level. The only extra on your invoice is the jurisdiction's own fee, passed through at cost.
What counts as a location?
A physical address you operate from. Two trading entities at one address count once. Vehicles, technicians and practitioners are not charged as locations.
Is there a minimum term?
Annual, billed monthly or up front. We will not hold you to it if we fail to cover a jurisdiction we said we would.
How small is too small?
Somewhere under about eight locations, a calendar reminder is genuinely fine. We would rather say that than sell you something you do not need yet.
Are you SOC 2?
Type II, audited annually. The report is available under NDA on request.
Who can see our licences?
Only people you invite. Seats are unlimited, roles are per entity, and every action is written to an audit log.
What happens to our data if we leave?
You export the full register, every stored document and the audit log. We delete our copy on request within 30 days.
Do you use our data to train anything?
No. Your register is yours. Aggregate, de-identified jurisdiction rules are the only thing that flows back into the product.
